Vienna - Pro-Russian separatists have promised to give recovery workers and investigators safe access to the crashed Malaysia Airlines jet in eastern Ukraine, the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) says.

In negotiations with envoys from Ukraine, Russia and the Vienna-based OSCE, rebel groups in Donetsk agreed to close off the crash site and allow authorities to prepare for recovering the victims.
They gave security guarantees to Ukrainian and international crash investigators, as well as to OSCE observers.
The separatists also pledged to cooperate with Ukrainian authorities on "all practical questions arising in the course of the recovery and investigation," the OSCE says.
