Public prosecutor charges three former Democrat MPs for defaming Yingluck

Three former Democrat MPs were charged in the Criminal Court Monday for having allegedly defamed caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra during a TV programme in 2012.

Chavanond.Intarakomalyasut, Sirichok Sopha and Thepthai Senpong were charged with defaming Yingluck when they hosted the Sai Lor Fah TV programme on Blue Sky satellite TV station in February 2012.
Public prosecutor Ruangwit Phokai told the court that the three caused the public to hate the prime minister by speaking during the TV programme that she jumped a House meeting for a personal business.
The court accepted the case for consideration and the three were released on bail by posting assets worth Bt100,000 each as guarantee.
