Poor politics blamed for slow development
The majority of Thais have attributed the country's slow development to the poor political system, according to Suan Dusit Poll.
94.13 per cent of the pollâ€™s respondents said Thailand is poorly administered as politicians are too busy with fighting, corruption is widespread and growing selfishness in society.
Nearly half, 43.23 per cent, viewed that Thailand has advanced the most in terms of information technology, mass transit development (19.77 per cent) and international trade (15.25 per cent).
Thailand is lagging the most in education (30.40 per cent), transportation network (25.37 per cent), and quality of life (18.27 per cent).
