Pongsapat slightly more popular than Sukhumbhand: survey
Pheu Thai Party gubernatorial candidate Pongsapat Pongcharoen has slightly beaten his Democrat rival Sukhumbhand Paribatra in the latest approval rating, an opinion survey has found.
The survey by Bangkok University found that Pongsapat enjoyed 23.9 per cent of approval rating while Sukhumbhand's rating was 23.6 per cent. The survey found that 6.5 per cent of the respondents preferred independent candidate Seripisut Temiyavej while 42.1 per cent of respondents said they were still undecided.
The survey, which is titled "the popular rating for the first lap of the Bangkok governor race," was carried out on January 21, 22 and 23 among 1,607 Bangkok residents, who are at least 18 years old.
