A police senior sergeant major who collapsed during the clash between police and protesters at the Bangkok Youth Centre has died of his health problem, a police spokeswoman said Monday.
Pol Lt Col Anchulee Thirawong, a deputy spokeswoman of the Centre for the Administration for Peace and Order, said Pol Sen Sgt Maj Anan Laesopha, died at the Police Hospital at 11:55 pm Sunday.
He collapsed and vomited in blood during the clash and suffered low blood pressure. His heart stopped two minutes and doctors at the scene resuscitated him. He was not injured by protesters but he was diagnosed to have hemorrhage in his stomach so he was admitted to the hospital.
