Pitak Siam leader surrenders to police
Pitak Siam group leader Gen Boonlert Kaewprasit and 10 others have surrendered to police to face charges of violating security laws in connection with their rally on November 24 last year.
All denied the charges and inform police they would give statement in written form within 30 days.
Boonlert said he led a peaceful demonstration so he was not worried about the charges against him, adding that there are people pulling strings behind the case and he was the target of political harassment.
Dr Tul Sithisomwong, one of the ten suspects said the Constitution Court had said that the Pitak Siam rally was a peaceful rally and police had better review their charges.
Police insisted that they have a solid case and they have to take action or they would be taken action for dereliction of duty.
