People 'fine' without political news: poll

A poll conducted by Suan Dusit revealed Friday that not many people were interested in keeping up with the latest in local politics.

More than 39 per cent of respondents believed the Kingdom had been peaceful since the military seized power, while 37 per cent said they were fine without updates on politics as it only upset them. Nearly 14 per cent said information about political conflicts only split people up into different groups, while 7 per cent decried the muzzling of the press and the restriction of people's rights.

Only 2.5 per cent wanted political news to continue - provided the National Council for Peace and Order controls the content.
