Passport issuance services have returned to normality with about 7,000 passports issued a day, Consular Department Director-General Thongchai Chasawat said Thursday.
He said the department is now able to handle passport applications like before Bangkok shutdown protest.
Earlier, the department could not link its passport issuance branches to its passport database server at the Consular Department because protesters blocked the head office. Last week, Consular Department officials could enter the head office to restart the computer server to support the online services.
Thongchai said the services are now available at 17 branhces around the country.
