PDRC to stop blocking Rama VIII Bridge

The People's Democrat Reform Committee and its allies agreed Tuesday to stop blocking the Rama VII Bridge starting Wednesday.

Suthep Thaugsuban, PDRC secretary general, said the bridge was blocked as part of efforts to prevent government officials to serve the Thaksin regime.

However, after the PDRC saw that the caretaker government ignored the plight of the people, the PDRC , the People's Army to Overthrow the Thaksin Regime and the Dharma Army agree to stop the bridge blockade to lessen the impact on the people, Suthep said.

Gen Preecha Iam-suwan said the bridge would be opened Wednesday and it might take two days before the traffic flow would return to normality.
