The People's Democratic Reform Committee Thursday filed a lawsuit with the Criminal Court, alleging Department of Special Investigation chief Tarit Pengdith with abusing of authority.

Lawyer Suwat Apaisak represented the PDRC to file the suit, alleging Tarit with abusing his authority to freeze accounts of PDRC secretary general Suthep Thaugsuban and other PDRC leaders.
The court is scheduled to consider on April 21 as to whether to proceed with the judicial review.
Suwat told reporters that the suit was filed against Tarit because he ordered the freezing of accounts of several PDRC leaders by bypassing proper legal procedures.
