Nootsara wins 'Best Setter' Volleyball Globe 2012
Thailand's Nootsara Tomkom won "the Best Setter" award for the Volleyball Globe 2012 following a landslide 3,863-1,143 victory over USA's Carli Lloyd in the voting showdown concluded late Wednesday night.
It was another remarkable success of the 28-year-old from Ratchaburi, who had won the similar award from several top-flight volleyball tournaments including the 2009 Asian Championship in Hanoi, where the Thai women’s volleyball team made history to win the Asian crown for the first time, and the last year’s AVC Cup for Women, which the Thai team also made their mark to land the title for the first time, and the FIVB World Grand Prix, where the team finished an amazing fourth place in the Finals in Ningbo, China.
