No need for Cabinet to consider announcing state of emergency yet: spokesman

The cabinet meeting Tuesday did not consider the announcement of emergency decree as police and other security officials authorised by Internal Security Act were able to control the political situation, according to government's deputy spokesman Parkdehans himathongkom.

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra insisted that the government would use no force and violence to control the situation, he said and noted that unarmed officials and police could take care of the situation.
