National Press Council of Thailand President Chakkrit Permpool said the NPCT will investigate an allegation by the junta that Manager Weekender's latest edition has violated the junta's No 97 order.

The National Council for Peace and Order said in its latest announcement that the latest edition of Manager Weekender distorted information to make unfair criticisms of the junta.

But Chakkrit urged the junta to be more specific, saying the allegation was still vague.

He said the NPCT would perform its duty to oversee the press so the junta does not have to use its orders to shut down papers.
