An NGO member Wednesday asked ia the National Human Rights Commission to seek a ruling from the Constitutional whether protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban had violated the charter.

Srisuwan Janya asked the commission to pass on his petition to the court as to decide whether Suthep, the secretary general of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee, had violated the power of the King.
Srisuwan said the human rights commission must invoke Article 257 of the Constitution to seek the ruling because several actions of the PDRC would violate the King’s power, such as trying to form a people’s council and claiming that the people had seized power from the government.
Srisuwan also filed the same petition to the ombudsmen, asking them to seek a ruling from the Constitutional Court.
