NACC summons four witnesses on rice-pledging scheme

National Anti-Corruption Commission on Tuesday resolved to summon four senior government officials for questioning as witnesses in the controversial rice-pledging scheme.

The questioning will focus on the loss during time of former deputy premier and Commcerce minister and former deputy commerce minister Yanyong Puangrat.

They are Internal Trade Department’s Director General Somchart Soithong, Permanent Secretary for Finance Rangsan Sriworasart, Finance Ministry’s Inspector General Kurit Sombatsiri and manager of Agriculture and Agriculture Cooperatives Bank or representative.
