NACC refuses to extend the period for Yingluck to defend herself

National Anti-Corruption Commission secretary-general Sansern Poljiak said Thursday that the NACC had decided not to extend the period for caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra to defend herself.

Sansern told reporters after the NACC meeting that the commissioners saw that the time given to Yingluck should be long enough.

The deadline on Monday was already the extension from the 30-day deadline for her defence after the NACC decided to charge her.

Unless Yingluck submits clarification, in person or in document, by Monday, the NACC would regard that she has no objection to the NACC's investigation report, Sansern said.
