Mourners gather in Melbourne to pay respects to MH17 victims

Melbourne - More than 1,200 people fill St Paul's Cathedral in Melbourne to honour the lives of those lost in the downing of Malaysia Airlines flight MH17, a local media report says.

The multi-faith service was being held to pay respect to the 298people who were on board the plane.
Thirty-seven Australians were on the flight, and as a special tribute to them in Melbourne, 37 daffodils were laid on the steps of the church, The Age newspaper reports.
