Manufacturing GDP may drop to 1.9-2.9% if protests continue

The gross domestic product (GDP) of the manufacturing sector this year could drop to between 1.9 per cent to 2.9 per cent if the political disturbance lasts long beyond March, according to the Office of Industrial Economics (OIE) director-general Somchai Harnhirun.

The office forecasts the sector growth at between 3 per cent to 4 per cent.
