Malaysia Airlines has not yet confirmed a report that its missing passenger plane has crashed. In its latest and fourth statement released at 2:30pm Malaysian time, Malaysian Airlines said its MH370 Flight was still classified as "missing".
“We regret to announce that Subang Traffic Control lost contact with flight MH370 at 2:40 am today.
“We are currently working with international authorities on the search and rescue mission and as at 1400 hours, 08 March 2014, we have no information on the location of the aircraft,” the statement said.
DPA reported Lieutenant General Pham Hoai Giang told VTC News, a spokesman for Vietnamese rescuers, as saying that the plane had crashed.
