MOU on contract farming signed
Vientiane -- Thailand and Laos on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to cooperate in promoting a contract farming scheme that will see the supply of farm products from Laos to Thailand.
Foreign Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul inked the document with Laos's Minister of Industry and Commerce Nam Viyaketh in Vientiane on the sidelines of 5th summit of the AyeyawadyChao PhrayaMekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS).Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra and her Lao counterpart Thongsing Thammavong witnessed the signing ceremony.
