Land department chief removed
The Land Department director-general who had suggested that the Interior Ministry revoke the unlawfully-earned land deeds for the Alpine golf course and housing estate in Pathum Thani has been moved to an inactive position.
Anuwat Methiwiboonwut, the department's chief, has been appointed deputy permanent secretary of the Interior Ministry in the midyear (fiscal 2012) reshuffle of the ministry's highranking bureaucrats.
The reshuffle was proposed by Interior Minister Yongyuth Wichaidit, who is also deputy prime minister, and it was endorsed by the Cabinet at its weekly meeting Tuesday.
