Kittiratt rules out wage compensations to employers
Finance Minister Kittiratt Na Ranong Friday ruled out the idea of setting up a fund to pay the difference between the old wage rate and the now Bt300 minimum daily wage for employers in 70 provinces.
"The implementation of this idea will take a massive budget. It's not feasible," Labour Minister Phadermchai Sasomsap said.
He was speaking after he had a meeting with Kittiratt to discuss measures on how to reduce adverse impacts from government's policy to raise the daily minimum wage to Bt300 across the country.
