Junta chief Prayuth Chan-ocha would propose 2015 budget bill to the National Legislative Assembly (NLA) for deliberation, Norarat Pimsen, secretary-general of the Secretariat of the Senate said on Tuesday.

Since a PM has not been appointed by the NLA, the head of National Council for Peace and Order will act on behalf of the premier to propose the bill, she said, adding that an ad-hoc committee set up after the NLA passes the budget bill in the first reading need to finish deliberation before September 30.

She said it was expected that the budget bill would be deliberated by the NLA before the appointment for the premier post.

However, the appointment of the PM will need to wait until President and two deputies of the NLA received royal endorsement.
