Japan's ANA orders 40 Boeing, 30 Airbus planes worth $16.4 bn

TOKYO - Japan's All Nippon Airways (ANA) said Thursday it would buy 40 Boeing and 30 Airbus planes, with a list price of $16.4 billion.

The airline decided to make the orders, including 14 units of Boeing’s trouble-hit Dreamliner, to increase its fleet ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, a statement said.
