With the curfew relaxed, concert promoter BEC-Tero has confirmed that J-rocker Yoshiki of X-Japan will show up in Thailand. The full-scale show "Classical Yoshiki Live in Bangkok 2014" will be grace Impact's Royal Jubilee ballroom in Muang Thong Thani
“I have fond memories of Bangkok. The last time I came was 2011 for the X Japan concert. I can’t wait to meet my fans in Thailand,” said Yoshiki, who touches down in Thailand on Monday night.
Bangkok is the latest leg of the star’s world tour to promote his debut classical album. “Yoshiki Classical” features collaborations with legendary Beatles producer Sir George Martin, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra and the Quartet San Francisco.
Yoshiki’s confirmation comes just a week after Taylor Swift’s debut show in Thailand was cancelled over fears of instability following the May 22 coup.
