International school students to brush up on Thai history under new plan

The Office of Basic Education Commission (Obec) has set out its plan to have students at international schools in Thailand study Thai history.

The History and Civic Duty Course Development Committee will gather on Friday with a view to completing the course structure, textbook and handbook within two months. By September, the textbooks should be printed and, with teacher training also to be taken into account, the course should be implemented by the second semester of the current academic year, according to Obec deputy chief Kamol Rodklai.
