A grenade was lobbed into the compound of the house of Samran Rodphet, a key member of the People's Democratic Reform Committee, early Tuesday, police said.
No one was injured in the attack, which happened at 3 am and caused a shallow hole in the compound. The blast’s impact shattered the house’s glass windows and the front lamp of the house and also damaged a car.
Police found a pin of the grenade and some fragments at the scene.
Pol Col Kamthorn Uicharoen, the chief of a bomb disposal unit, said the bomb was M67 grenade with lethality radius of 15 metres.
