Holiday period claims 86 lives

A total of 86 people were killed and 885 others injured in road accidents during the first two days of the so-called "seven dangerous days" of the New Year holiday period, the Road Safety Centre announced.



Drunk driving is considered the root cause of most accidents.

There were 866 accidents in the first two days of the December 27-January 2 period.
