Govt cancels Kaeng Suea Ten Dam project
The government is scrapping its plan to construct the long-opposed Kaeng Suea Ten Dam, according to Deputy Prime Minister Plodprasop Suraswadi.
Speaking in his capacity as the chair of the Water and Flood Management Commission (WFMC), Plodprasop Wednesday announced that his commission had already decided to drop the plan when taking into account local residents' fourdecadelong opposition.
"We made the decision on Tuesday," he said.
