Global economic momentum could be 'less robust than expected': IMF chief

AIX-EN-PROVENCE, France - The momentum of the global economy could be "less robust than expected" because of weak growth and investment, IMF chief Christine Lagarde warned Sunday.

"We are seeing global activity pick up, but the momentum could be less robust than expected because potential growth is weaker... (and) investment remains lacklustre," the head of the International Monetary Fund told a conference in the southern French town of Aix-en-Provence.
