Ghanaian man arrested with 1kg of 'ice' in stomach
Customs officials have arrested a Ghanaian man after an x-ray showed 70 tiny bags of crystal methamphetamine inside his stomach.
Rakob Srisupa-at, the director of the Investigation and Suppression Division, told a press conference that Yeboah Kwame, 36, was arrested on Sunday.
He said customs officials noticed that that Kwame appeared nervous they searched his luggage and x-rayed him and found 70 suspicious objects in his stomach.
He was given laxative to empty his bowels and officials found the bags were stuffed with the drug with a total weight of 1,055 grams.
The Ghanaian man arrived at the Suvarnabhumi International Airport on Ethiopian Airlines at 12:45 pm Sunday.
