Gasohol consumption spikes
The abolition of 91-octane petrol retail sale pushed gasohol consumption by 4 million litres a day, according to the Energy Business Department.
The 91-octane petrol sale was scrapped on January 1, 2013.
Comparing consumption during December 2012 and January 13, on average gasohol consumption rose from 13.58 million litres per day to 17.70 million.
However, octane-95 showed an increase in consumption, from 100,000 litres a day to 970,000.
