An explosion hit a car care shop near the government's Centre for Maintaining Peace and Order (CMPO) on Vibhavadi Rangsit road in Thoong Song Hong district last night. No injuries were reported.
Police were alerted at about 11pm about the explosion at Green Wash the Premier. At the scene, they found that the explosion was caused by M-79 grenade, it damaged a customer's car and the shop's window glass.
Pol Col Charoen Srisasalaks, a police commander, said it was still unknown from where the grenade was fired. The attack may be intended to create disturbance as the site is about 400 metres from the CMPO which is set up to handle the anti-government campaigns.
