Enforcement of special security law in BKK and nearby provinces extended

The Cabinet on Wednesday resolved to extend the enforcement of Internal Security Act in Bangkok and three other adjacent provinces for 60 days, citing security reason.

The National Security Council (NSC) proposed the extension.

NSC secretary general Paradorn Pattanatabut said the extension of the special security law, which will initially end on December 31, was because of the the prolonged protest.

The extension which will end on March 1 next year will cover the entire capital city, Nonthaburi and parts of Samut Prakarn and Pathum Thani provinces.
