Egat sets new roles for subsidiaries for overseas expansion

The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (Egat) has set new roles for its subsidiaries for overseas business expansion.

According to Egat governor Soonchai Kumnoonsate, the Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Plc (Ratch) will be mainly responsible for investment in the development of power plants in Myanmar’s Salween River.

Ecgo group will focus on the plans to establish a coal-fired power plant in Dawei industrial zone.

The investment plans will be submitted for the Myanmar government’s approval. .
