EGAT signs another hydropower deal
Xe-Pian Xe-Namnoy Power Co Ltd has signed the power purchase agreement with Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand.
Under the agreement signed on Feb 6, Egat will buy power from the company's hydropower plant in Laos for 27 years, after the plant commences commercial operations in 2018.
Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding holds a 25 per cent stake in the company. Other shareholders are SK Engineering & Construction (26 per cent), Korea Western Power (25 per cent) and the government of Lao PDR (24 per cent).
The power plant is located in Attapue and Jampasak Provinces, Lao PDR with installed capacity of 410 megawatts
