Election commissioner Somchai Srisuthiyakorn said the Election Commission (EC) will propose rescheduling of snap election on February 2 to PM Yingluck Shinawatra in a meeting between the EC and the premier Tuesday.

Speaking to Spring News on Monday, Somchai said all election process should be restarted to pave the way for candidates, who were unable to register, to apply for the race.
Moreover, the advance voting should be ordered as nullification and all can be done by reissuing a new royal decree, he said.
"Personally, I think the election should be delayed for 4-5 months. All concerned parties need to hold talk how to make the election accepted and fair," he said.
