EC offers to mediate talk between govt, opponents

In another effort to unlock election deadlock, the Election Commission again Monday offered itself as a mediator for a talk of all parties concerned.

Somchai Srisutthiyakorn, an Election commissioner supervising elections, said holding several rounds of election would not be able to get 95 per cent of the 500 MP seats as required by the Constitution before convening a House session unless the parties in the conflicts hold talk.
