Drought hits 6,391 villages in 25 provinces

Drought has hit 6,391 villages in 25 provinces, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department Thursday.

The department announced that drought that continued since October has hit 123 districts.
Chatchai Promlert, the director general of the department, said caretaker Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has instructed his department to coordinate with other government agencies concerned to provide help to affected residents of the 6,391 villages.
