Unknown attackers hurled fire bombs at and opened fire on a small drinking-water factory in Narathiwat's Ra Ngae district late Monday night.
Security agencies believe the incident, which fortunately caused no casualty, is related to on-going unrest in the deep South.
The small factory is located within the compound of the factory owner Prasert Srisompoch’s house.
“I have no conflict with anybody,” Prasert told police.
Police found eight bottles stained with fuel and more than 30 shells of spent bullets, including those used with M16 machine guns.
The attack caused a small fire that workers there rushed to extinguish.
