Dow ends above 14,300 for the first time

U.S. shares closed up with the Dow Jones Industrial Average ending above 14,300 for first time ahead of jobs report, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq composite hit multi-year highs.

The Dow posted new all-time highs for the third-straight day,adding 33.25 points to end at 14,329.49..

S&P 500 gained 2.80 points at 1,544.26. Among key S&P sectors,financials and technology shares led, while utilities fell.

The Nasdaq composite added 9.72 points to close at 3,232.09.
