Democrat not join reform council

The Democrat Party will not send representative to sit in a reform council to set political regulations, party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva said Friday.

Abhisit said political parties should only provide opinions to such a council and should not take part in voting by the council.

The Democrat leader said it would be a conflict of interest if politicians take part in setting regulations for governing themselves.
