Democrat Party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva Thursday held an urgent meeting of party executives to discuss the political situation following the deposing of prime minister Yingluck Shinawatra by a court ruling.

Following the meeting, Democrat spokesman Chavanon Intharakomalsut told a press conference that the party feared that violence and bloodshed would happen over the weekend.
The party saw that the ruling could not end the political impasse but the government allegedly used it to incite red-shirt people to commit violence.
