The Democrat Party on Thursday condemned the killing of a red-shirt poet and called for police to take quick action to bring killers to justice.

Spokesman Chavanond Intarakomalyasut said the party wished to express condolences to the family of Kamol Duangphasuk, alias Mainueng Kor Kunnathee, who was gunned down in a restaurant in Lat Phrao district.
Kamol, who was a critic of the lese majeste law, was known for his support of the pro-government movement.
Chavanond said the party also felt sorry for the loss to the red-shirt movement and that it didn’t want to see violence towards any group.
