Curfew may be imposed in restive southern border provinces

The southern Army may impose curfew in areas where insurgents launch frequent attacks in southern border provinces, the spokesman of the Internal Security Operations Command said Wednesday.

Col Banphot Poonpian, the ISOC spokesman, said the National Council for Peace and Order authorised the Fourth Army Area chief and the ISOC Area 4 to make joint decisions whether to impose curfew in particular areas or not.
