Court refuses to revoke Suthep's arrest warrant

The Appeals Court has dismissed a petition to drop the arrest warrant issued against Suthep Thaugsuban, secretary-general of the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), on insurrection charges.

Suthep's lawyer Tuesday attended a hearing in court after filing a petition to have the lower court's ruling overturned. Late last year, the Criminal Court rejected a petition asking for Suthep's arrest warrant to be reviewed.

The Appeals Court said it would not revoke Suthep's arrest warrant and that the petition was redundant.
