The Civil Court on Thursday accepted the lawsuit against the declaration of emergency decree for review. The suit was filed by an anti-government protest leader, accusing the caretaker government of invoking a state of emergency without legitimacy.
The court scheduled the first hearing on February 6.
Thaworn Senneam, a core protest leader, on Monday filed the lawsuit with the court against the caretaker premier, the chief and deputy chief of the government's peacekeeping centre. He also asked the Court to revoke the state of emergency decree and prohibit the dispersal of the anti-government protesters.
