Chulalongkorn University to reclaim plot from Pathumwan School
Chulalongkorn University (CU) has planned to reclaim its plot of land from the Pathumwan School, which its students' parents said would have to close down as a result.
CU president Pirom Kamolratanakul, however, Tuesday said CU officials would talk to the parents to see how to minimise impacts on children.
He explained that the eviction move was a part of the master plan to develop CU land.
"We plan to expand road surface and develop green area along the road," he said. He added that the green area would become a public park for local communities.
Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has operated the Pathumwan School, which conducts classes from Pathom 1 to Pathom 6 level.
