Chocolate - high-energy Valentine's Day gift
A small bar of chocolate contains 260 kg calorie, half of calorie from one meal, according to Thai Health Organisation.
Sanga Damapong, coordinating manager of Thai children’s nutrition project, said that it needs a 45-minute quick walk to burn out the calorie or 15 minutes of swimming.
Chocolate is a popular item among teens as Valentine’s Day gift. Sanga suggested they switch to red apples or strawberries, which contain low energy yet high fibre.
