Labour Minister Chalerm Yoobamrung said Thursday that he would set up 12 taskforces to track and arrest 19 leaders of the People's Democratic Reform Committee who are wanted under arrest warrants.
The Criminal Court Wednesday approved arrest warrants against the 19, including PDRC secretary general Suthep Thaugsuban.
Chalerm, who is the director of the Centre for Maintaining Peace and Order, said each taskforce would include a police commissioner and deputy commissioner.
Chalerm said he would not crack down on protesters while attempting to arrest the PDRC leaders.
Chalerm said he had learned that Suthep had been staying on the 18th floor of either Dusit Thani Hotel or the InterContinental Bangkok Hotel.
